Attempt to Crochet
| at 3:30 PM
One of my friends asked me whether I could teach her and her daughter how to crochet. I told her I only know the basic and I have to refresh my memory.. since it's been AGES since I crochet. Probably the last time I hold the crochet needle when I was in college... and believe me it's been years!!!!
So I watched some tutorial from youtube and this is what I made. Without counting... I'm so bad at counting and keep in track how many stitches I have made. Anyway.. here's the link to the youtube video.
Here's what I made :D
Oven Mitts and Fingertip Mitts
| at 6:09 PM
Today's sewing project is making oven mitts. We went to Joann to look for cute fabrics and we bought too much fabrics. Because the instructions that we got said we need 1/2 yard per oven mitt that we are going to make.. but ended up 1/2 yard can make 2 oven mitts.
Anyway we succeed!!!!

Hooded Towel
| at 8:29 PM
Today, my blog friend showed me a really cool sewing tutorial to make hooded towel. But after saw how tiny it was... I changed my mind.. It might looks neat for a baby shower gift, but not for toddler/kids size.
So.. I found another sewing tutorial out there on the web and found one that I was looking for.
Ughh couldn't find the links again... but anyway it's so easy.. you only need:
1 regular bath towel
1 hand towel
(and in my case I added blanket binding since my lil one loves pooh, and they have pooh binding).
How to make one:
1. Fold the hand towel into two (the wider part) then sew it together on 1 side and at the end make a lil arc.
2. you can cut up the excess fabric, or leave it... doesn't matter
3. sew the bottom wide part of the hand towel with the big bath towel. (make sure it's on the top center of your bath towel).
and that's it...
Here's the result:
