Today Vone came over and asked me to teach her how to sew. So we actually went to Jo-Ann's Fabric store and got some fabrics! we got good deal too, we got about almost 2 yards of materials for only $3.66. We bought brown & pink fleece.

We got the pattern from here. But we kinda altered it since we don't really understand the direction. I don't think this tutorial is the best tutorial out there. But we managed to make 4 hats and 1 pair successful mitten.

I finally have an embroidery machine everyone!!! :) One of my friends is having a birthday this coming Friday and I work with her tonight, and probably won't be able to see her till Saturday. So I decided to make something for her and I googled "simple sewing gift idea".

And I found a check book cover pattern. So I decided to make 1 for her. It's not perfect at all since I was in hurry and so jittery from the caffeine that I took earlier today!! *sigh*

Anyway!! Hope she will like it :).

This is my first try, we'll see how it fits Carissa's feet. I might need to make more adjustment.. but I still think they're so cute!! :)
